Orlando is best known for its major theme parks, but the city and surrounding area also feature museums, gardens, lakes, and established neighborhoods with their own character. Whether you're visiting for a week or exploring as a local, there's variety beyond the typical tourist corridor.
Walt Disney World Resort is a sprawling complex west of downtown that includes four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Each park operates as a full-day destination with rides, shows, dining, and entertainment.
Universal Orlando Resort comprises three theme parks including Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, connected by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The resort also includes CityWalk, an entertainment district with shopping, dining, and free entry.
SeaWorld Orlando is a marine life park featuring animal encounters, shows, and rides with an ocean theme. It operates year-round and includes adjacent Aquatica water park.

The Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens in Winter Park displays bronze sculptures and artwork in a residential studio setting with mature gardens.
Mount Dora is a historic town about 35 miles north of downtown known for antique shops, local restaurants, and a charming downtown area around the lakefront. It is easily reached by car and offers a small-town alternative to central Orlando.
